Bulletin on Merchant Initiated Transactions
SCS Volume version 9.0

Public Consultation
1 - 30 June 2021
- THE CONSULTATION PERIOD HAS NOW CLOSED. -

The European Cards Stakeholders Group (ECSG), the industry association in charge of cards standardisation in the Single Euro Payments Area (SEPA), is today releasing for public consultation a Bulletin on Merchant Initiated Transactions to amend version 9.0 of the SCS Volume.

In early 2020 the European Commission clarified the requirements for Merchant Initiated Transactions as part of the deployment of the PSD2 regulatory standards of Strong Customer Authentication. The ECSG wanted to reflect these requirements within the Volume by publishing a Bulletin before the publication of the next version as the requirements came into effect on the 1st of January 2021.

To ensure that the proposed document truly reflects market needs, all stakeholders are invited to supply feedback on this consultation by mail to secretariat@e-csg.eu by 30 June 2021.

More information on the consultation process can be found within the 'consultation feedback form' that can be downloaded, together with the Bulletin, through the form below.
